About sizes... The hat circumference measures 22” (56 cm). A tight fit is recommended, as it expands 1” (2-3 cm) in use. You can resize the circumference with - / + 4 stitches. The height measures 18” (46 cm), from ear to ear, over the head. The height can also be changed and it is described in the pattern. The gloves are only in one size and it’s not so easy to change, but if you want a different size, you can choose thinner / thicker yarn and needles. Materials MEDIUM wool from hyggestrik.dk, or similar Sport weight wool 185 yd (175 m)/50 g. 150 g wool 16” circular needles size US 4 & 6 (3.5 & 4 mm) 1 set of double pointed needles size US 4 & 6 (3.5 & 4 mm) Gauge Hat: 19 st/30 rows in pattern, suggested needle size US 6 (4 mm) = 4” (10 cm) Hatband 21 st/30 rows in pattern, suggested needle size US 4 (3.5 mm) = 4” (10 cm) Gloves: 21 st/30 rows in pattern, suggested needle size US 4 (3.5 mm) = 4” (10 cm) The gloves have the special “Fried Chicken thumb gusset”.
