It’s August and I feel like buying school supplies. I’m not sure why this is such a gratifying task. There’s something about freshly sharpened No.2 pencils, and the linen paper we used for presentations before the digital age. Perhaps it is because I grew up in a family of teachers, and gearing up for the beginning of school was a comprehensive endeavor. It kind of feels like a ‘fresh start’ after finishing the previous term and having the summer to re-group. This collection, ‘Pencil & Paper’, was inspired by the nostalgia of preparing for a new school year. ***Erasure*** A design for all knitters, this minimal design is knit on the bias, with a simple intuitive border on the lower edge. I provide a chart as well as full written instructions. Use all of your yarn, make the shawl any size you wish, even use a gradient…suitable for any yarn weight up to bulky. Materials used for sample (weighs 85g): Cloudborn Merino Superwash Sock Twist 1 skein ~ color shown is Gray Heather Pattern is written in American terminology.
