Knitting starts with the cast on of the back neck, the shoulders and some first stitches of the fronts. You will increase before and after the shoulder 'seam' stitches on every row until you reach the final cross-back width. From that point increases are done to shape the sleeve caps, at the same time the V-neck shaping is done by adding stitches to the fronts. Once all shaping is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold in order to work the body first to final length. Sleeve stitches are picked up again to work the sleeves top down in the round to the long ribbing. V-neck finishing is worked last. Yarn L'échappée Laine Shetland Fine (219yds/200m per 50g) 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins, shown in color pétrole. Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) 24" (60 cm) and 32" (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for neck, body and sleeve ribbing. US 4 (3.5 mm) 24" (60 cm) and 32" (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and sleeves. Gauge 22 sts x 33 rows = 4" (10 cm) square in Stockinette stitch on larger needle after blocking. Sizes XS (S, M1, M2, L, XL, XXL) finished bust circumference: 34.5 (36, 38.25, 39.75, 41.75, 46.25, 50.5)" 86.5 (90, 95.5, 99, 104.5, 115.5, 126.5) cm Sample is worn with 3.5" (9 cm) positive ease at bust.
