Cube Thing

At Christmas I was playing with a complicated paper construction I came across online. There was no chance of knitting it because it would simply have tried to deform to be a sphere. It is in the nature of knitting, and crochet, that all regular 3D shapes try to form themselves into spheres. I started to wonder what would happen if I reduced it to its simplest form and kept it very small. I was pleasantly surprised to find that an unstuffed cube is much more robust than I expected. This cube holds its shape very well. You can squash it if you want to but it is easily restored to its original shape. I used about 10 metres of DK yarn in three colours.
