The size that the instructions are given in are for a woman's size 7/8 (M) After completing the toe & you begin to work on the foot portion of the sock, you can either omit or add rows to get the length desired. I used less than 1/2 of a 5 oz skein & a scrap ball for the toe, heel & edging.
