Azula

Azula is named for the volatile fire bender from Season 1 of the Avatar. Flames twist and turn around the body of the Hat, with each form created by short rows and just a hint of garter stitch intarsia. Azula is the most challenging of the Elemental Hats, and is very much worthy of your patience. Featuring short row colourwork, each of the Elemental Hats is knit sideways and grafted. The pattern is presented in written format, and as a map for the short rows - a directional chart - that will help guide you through the pattern. The Elemental book and eBook contain detailed photographic tutorials, and individual patterns include download links to the photographic tutorials. Some language versions of the single patterns contain mapped (charted) instructions only, and illustrated tutorials for the techniques.
