Keep out the chill with this striped cowl inspired by knitted brioche. Just like it's knitted cousin, this crochet brioche stitch creates a double layer fabric that is both practical and stylish. Contrast your two favourite colours together for a fun stripe effect. **Size:** Approximately 60cm/23.5" circumference x 18cm/7" deep (before blocking.) The size is easy to customise and tips for doing so are included in the pattern. **Yarn:** Fingering weight yarn (~380-400m per 100g.) Approximately 230m of MC and 190m of CC. While I have used sock yarn for my prototype, you could use just about any fibre you desire! And if you would like to make a super-warm and chunky version, why not try a heavier weight yarn? Simply choose a suitable hook size so that the fabric of your cowl is not too rigid. For example, I would use a hook no smaller than 5.5mm with DK weight. **Skill Level: EASY~INTERMEDIATE** This is a project created using basic crochet stitches, requires no shaping, and only minimal finishing.
