First a heavy set of short-rows is worked back and forth to shape the V-Neck. Shoulder increases are worked every row (RS and WS) to final shoulder length. From this point front and back are worked separately back and forth to final armhole length. Back and front are then joined to work the body in rounds to the short-row shaped hem. Eyelet lines at both sides of the underarm add interest and a light tapered shaping to the body. Sleeve stitches are picked up around armhole opening to work the sleeves in rounds top down to the cuffs. Yarn Manos del Uruguay Serena (approx 210 yards (193 m)/50g) 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins; shown in Smoke #2541 or approx 1177 (1265, 1340, 1405, 1525, 1602, 1744) yards [1080 (1160, 1230, 1290, 1400, 1470, 1600) m] of a similar yarn. Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) 24" (60 cm) and 32" (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for neck, body hem and sleeve cuffs. US 4 (3.5 mm) 24" (60 cm) and 32" (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and sleeves. Gauge 23 sts x 33 rows = 4" (10 cm) square in Stockinette stitch on larger needle after blocking.
