Breakaway Training Wheels

This primer contains the essential information required to work patterns using the Breakaway Crochet Method. The project presents a very efficient way of joining the motifs in a continuous manner, and gives an opportunity to practice the new techniques. Since NEW and EXTENSIVE information is presented, this pattern is geared for those committed to reading through the preparatory sections before the project is attempted. It is also intended for crocheters with at least moderate crochet experience (definitely not for beginners!). If another size is required the pattern is easily modified. The placemat shouldn't require any blocking, it naturally lies very flat, even without additional edgings. Gauge is not important for this project, but if another yarn weight is used then for best results use the hook size that is recommended on the yarn label.
