When Fleece and Harmony approached me to collaborate on a sheep sweater pattern it was shortly after the movie The Sheep Detectives was released in theatres. I tried to create different characters by changing the colours and using a different stranded design for each. I loved the idea of sheep climbing atop one another to peer into the crime scene.
This sweater is knit top down, in the round, with yoke worked in stranded colourwork and a stranded colourwork section before the lower ribbings. I used duplicate stitch for the sheep faces and horns but these sections can be stranded using 3 colours instead.
Ways to make it your own: use only 1 colour for the sheep; change the colours for the sheep faces; repeat the running sheep through the whole sweater.
Skills Used: stranded knitting, picking up sts for sleeves
