Each spider web is made using an easy-to-follow 8-row pattern, making this a lovely project to work up for Halloween without taking days to finish. For my garland, I used a black cotton yarn together with a fine glitter yarn to give the webs a subtle sparkle. The glitter yarn is completely optional – you can use just the cotton yarn or any black yarn you already have at home. You can also make the garland using just the cotton yarn or another black yarn of your choice. Using a different yarn weight may change the finished size of your webs. You will also need: • 4 mm crochet hook when using the two yarns held together, or a hook size suitable for your chosen yarn • Tapestry needle • Stitch markers • Scissors • Measuring tape Cotton works particularly well for this project as it helps the spider webs hold their shape beautifully once blocked. BLOCKING The pattern includes two options for blocking your finished spider webs. You can use a mixture of white craft glue and water for a firmer web that holds its shape, or steam block the webs for a softer finish. Perfect for Halloween decorating, spooky season, fall home decor, mantels, windows, doorways and Halloween parties. ️️
