ENGLISH PATTERN – ALEGRA CROCHET SWEATER Meet the Alegra Sweater, a cozy crochet granny squares sweater made with a mix of fluffy and regular yarn. It’s a fun and customizable project, perfect for fall and winter. The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and is made-to-measure, with sizes from XS to XXXL and up. The sleeve length can also be adjusted to your preference. Each granny square takes about 45 minutes to make, with approximately 5 hours for assembly and finishing. You can use two different yarns for a textured, fluffy look, or use just one yarn. The fluffy yarn is completely optional! MATERIALS NEEDED: • 4.5 mm crochet hook • Color A – #4 Aran/Worsted yarn: approximately 1,683–1,870 m / 1,350–1,500 g • Color B – #5 Bulky/fluffy yarn: approximately 700–900 m / 700–900 g • Stitch markers • Scissors • Measuring tape • Crochet needle for weaving in ends YARN: For Color A, you can use any size 4 (worsted/aran) yarn. I used Loops & Threads Bamboo yarn, using approximately 9 skeins for a size Medium. If making a larger size, I recommend having 1–2 extra skeins on hand. For Color B, you can use any size 4 or 5 yarn. I used Lion Brand Yarn – Feels Like Bliss, using approximately 8 skeins for a size Medium. For larger sizes, plan for 1–2 additional skeins. If you can't find the recommended fluffy yarn, you can also create a similar effect by holding a size 4 yarn together with a size 1 mohair.
