The Penelope

This pattern is a made-to-measure pattern and is completely customizable to fit the size needed. The pattern below is for a shirt that is closed with buttons on the collar. This shirt fits the measurements of a torso that is 26 inches around the waist and 32 inches around the bust. This pattern is separated by a front and back panel. It starts off with a ribbed stitch rectangle for the bottom half of the shirt and then is turned on its side for the top half of the shirt, which uses a sedge stitch. The two panels will be connected at the sides of the ribbed half and half of the top sedge stitch half. This pattern uses 8 purple-colored buttons to close the shoulder/collar part of the shirt. Half double crochets and shell stitches are used to create the buttonholes. The buttons go across the top of the shirt to create a boat/off the shoulder neckline and can be adjusted with how many buttons are buttoned.
