The Willow Collar is a feminine, versatile accessory featuring a delicate lace pattern inspired by the graceful, cascading branches of willow trees. Knitted seamlessly from the top down, the design combines an oversized collar with a beautiful textured lace pattern and a button band. The longer version is finished with four optional I-cords that can be tied at the sides. Use 4.5 mm needles or adjust your needle size to obtain gauge. **CONSTRUCTION** The Willow Collar is worked seamlessly from the top down. You begin with the collar and button band, then work the shoulder and front/back sections separately before joining the front panels. The body is shaped with decreases for the shorter version, while the longer version is worked to the desired length and finished with optional I-cords. The button band is worked with short rows to keep it growing at the same rate as the rest of the collar. Buttonholes are placed approximately every 7 cm.
