Ellie Shawl is worked from the top center of the shawl and finished with a knitted scalloped edge. Construction You begin knitting the shawl with 5 stitches. This is the middle of the shawl. Then the shawl is knitted back and forth on the circular needle with increases in each side and in the middle. The shawl is worked entirely in stockinette stitch as described and finished with a scalloped edge. Note: All yarn overs count as a stitch in the total stitch count.
