A Riot of Colour

Learn to knit mitred squares and join them as you work. 4 ply /sock yarn, in sizes XS to XXXL Comprehensive instructions, charts, tables, and photographs, and advice to work it to fit your shape / size. Options for shorter sleeves and body where required. **You will need:** Approx 415 / 460 / 495 / 525 / 570 / 615 / 665g (1400 / 1560 / 1660 / 1770 / 1915 / 2100 / 2240 metres) of 4 ply / fingering weight / sock yarn. In the pictured cardigan are Drops Nord in 3 solid colours, and a yarn similar to Kauni Effektgarn. 500 – 800m contrasting yarn for buttonbands, cuffs and hem. 3mm circular needles: 40cm is plenty for the squares and cuffs, 120cm for the buttonbands and hem. tapestry needle for sewing in ends 30-35mm diameter buttons (2 or 3 depending on length of cardigan). Gauge: 27 sts and 27 rows per 10cm in garter stitch
