Beyond Cardi

Beyond Cardi-Wrap is an intermediate knitting pattern for a long, lightweight mohair wrap cardigan with a relaxed silhouette and statement sleeves. Worked flat in five separate pieces and seamed together, the design combines Stockinette Stitch with Half Fisherman's Rib to create a beautiful contrast between smooth, airy fabric and soft textured sections. The elongated front panels give the cardigan its distinctive wrap-style silhouette, while side slits and thumb openings at the cuffs add contemporary details. The pattern is worked with two strands of Lace-weight Kid Mohair and Silk yarn held together throughout, using 8 mm (US 11) needles. This combination creates an exceptionally light, fluffy fabric with a soft halo and beautiful drape while maintaining the characteristic airy appearance of mohair.
