X Marks the Sparkle Poncho

Description: This simple (no seaming) poncho will quickly become a fall staple for the littles in your life! Starting with the collar of the poncho, the design is worked from the top down using simple stitches paired with textured X stitches. This classic V-point silhouette uses a 4 round repeat and simple increases at the sides to provide a lovely drape and fit for all sizes. Highly recommended is the Lion Brand Mandala Sparkle yarn to add a little magic to the finished project. The pattern is written for 2 sizes child small (4-6) and child large (8-10), however it will fit most children with small adjustments to the length if needed. Materials: Yarn: Light/DK Weight (Category 3)- sparkle recommended Approximate Yardage: 450 yards, 600 yards I used Mandala Sparkle Yarn and approximately 2 skeins are needed for all sizes Hook: 5.5 mm/I-9 crochet hook (or size needed to meet gauge) Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving ends, stitch markers to mark corners and beginning of the round stitches Notes: This pattern is worked from the top down and can be fit tested throughout the process.
