The Fjord Baby Blanket

A baby blanket worked flat in a knit-purl pattern stitch that builds a repeating geometric design across the centre, framed by a garter border. No cables, no lace, no yarn overs. A clean garter border and a geometric centre give it a quiet, Scandinavian look. Two sizes: stroller, 64 × 73 cm (25.25" × 28.75"), and crib, 81 × 94 cm (32" × 37"). Every row is written out in full, and the pattern stitch is also given as a chart with a symbol key. Worked in DK weight yarn on 4.0 mm circular needles. Intermediate: the stitch pattern is simple but needs attention for the first few repeats.
