These little snakes create a funky colorwork pattern of squiggly stripes all the way down to your toes. The socks are knitted top-down from cuff to toe, beginning with a 2x2 rib cuff and continuing with stranded colorwork in the round. (The colorwork rows only require you to knit with 2 colors at a time.) The short row heel is worked using a wrap-and-turn method. Stranded colorwork continues along the foot of the sock up to the toe, which is shaped by decreases and then grafted together. Additional details are added at the end with duplicate stitch. **Materials** *Needles:* * 2.5 mm (US 1.5) circular needles Note: This pattern was designed to be knitted in the round on mini circular needles (approximately 23 cm / 9 inches in length) and 80 cm circular needles using the magic loop technique and instructions are written accordingly, but feel free to adjust for magic loop only or DPNs if that is your preference. If you are using mini circulars, keep in mind that you will need to switch to magic loop or DPNs when reaching the toe section. *Yarn:* This pattern was designed and knitted with Lang Yarns Alpaca Soxx 4-ply in the colors 125 (Dark Blue) and 16 (Green). The following quantities are required: * Dark Blue: 40 g / 156 m / 171 yds (50 g / 195 m / 214 yds, 62 g / 242 m / 265 yds) * Green: 20 g / 78 m / 86 yds (26 g / 102 m / 112 yds, 32 g / 125 m / 137 yds) In addition to these yarns, the pattern also requires approximately 1 ½ m / 1 ½ yds of fingering weight scrap yarn in Red.
