**Knitting Pattern for a cool Sweater with Vertically Placed, Wide, Colourful Statement Stripes, a Relaxed Fit, Extra-Wide Sleeves, a Classic Crew Neckline with a Double-Folded Collar in Half-Twisted Ribbing, and Ribbed Cuffs, available in Sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL** **Structure** The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch with a striking pattern of bold, colourful statement stripes. Thanks to the sweater’s unique construction, these stripes run vertically across both the body and the sleeves. You begin by working the body from left to right (as worn). Increases and decreases are used throughout to shape the shoulders and create the crew neckline. Once the body is complete, only the sleeve stitches remain on the needles. The sleeves are then worked in the round in stockinette stitch following the statement stripe pattern and finished with 1×1 half-twisted rib cuffs. Next, the sleeve stitches are picked up on the opposite side, and the second sleeve is worked in the same way as a mirror image of the first. The side seams are closed using either the mattress stitch, Kitchener stitch or a three-needle bind-off. Finally, a double 1×1 rib neckband is worked around the crew neckline, and a matching 1×1 rib hem is knitted onto the body. The sweater has a relaxed fit through the body and hips, while the sleeves are cut extra wide for an oversized look.
