The Baroque beanie is a cabled beanie inspired by the elaborate ornaments and decorative motifs of Baroque architecture. The essence of the Baroque style, that flourished in the 17th century, is richness, opulence and dynamic movement. The curved and undulating lines of the cables and rounded details create texture and hint at rich ornamentation of the Baroque style. The beanie begins with an alternating cable cast-on and is knitted bottom up holding together two strands of yarn - one strand of DK weight yarn together with a strand of lace weight yarn.
