PATTERN ONLY! PATTERN is in US English! This is NOT a completed item! It is the PATTERN. NO AI. I AM A HUMAN PERSON. If you purchase this item, the P A T T E R N will be immediately available for you to download as a PDF file, which can be opened with Adobe Reader. You will get NOTHING in the mail. The awesome PDF file explains how to make this totally awesome crocheted cardigan. It includes the written pattern as well as lots of photos. It is an EASY PATTERN. Some sewing skills are required in addition to crochet. This is a very easy cardigan pattern with no shoulder or neck shaping. It is beginner friendly but assumes you know (or are willing to learn on your own) the stitches/techniques listed below. The pattern will NOT teach you to crochet, but is a good project for an adventurous beginner or a good base pattern to customize into something new. Please know your skill level and utilize your resources. There are images throughout alongside the written pattern and additional images of completed cardigans at the end. Sizing Information Small, Medium, Large, Extra-Large are indicated in the pattern as S (M, L, XL). All measurements are approximate, but it is easy to add extra length or girth. The sweater is meant to be oversized (not enormous but also not form-fitting). Length: S – 23” M - 25” L – 27” XL - 29” Bust circumference: S – 40” M - 44” L - 48” XL - 52” Gauge: Because this is meant to be oversized and have a lot of ease, gauge is not terribly important, but if worked as patterned (same hook and yarn) it is approximately 4 sc/in and 3 sc rows/inch. Pay attention to the MEASUREMENTS moreso than the stitches, rows, etc. You can easily make slight adjustments to the sizes by using different yarn/hooks instead of making adjustments to the pattern itself, but even making adjustments to the pattern itself are quite simple! Abbreviations and Skills Needed • ch: chain • sc: single crochet • inc/dec: increase/decrease (all will be sc) • sl: slip stitch • BLO: back loops only whip stitch and/or running stitch are recommended to seam the pieces together The entire cardigan is worked BLO. You can work regular sc if you would prefer for a thicker fabric and it should not dramatically affect the gauge. Again, pay attention to the MEASUREMENTS. Tools and Materials • Light weight yarn (I used just under 2 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala for a size small plus a small amount of black for the contrasting edging, so probably 3 cakes for a small if using one color) ◦ you can also use worsted weight for a thicker cardigan (the gray cardigan pictured was made with Caron Simply Soft; I used just under 5 skeins for a size small) ◦ add one (1) additional skein for each size increase; e.g. 4 skeins of Lion Brand Mandala or 6 skeins of Caron Simply Soft for medium, etc. If you have doubts, it’s always better to have too much than too little! • size F crochet hook • tapestry needle to seam • measuring tape • buttons of your liking (optional) • stitch markers
