Sophia Beanie

The Sophia Beanie is a new free knitted winter beanie pattern featuring a classic shape with a pretty horseshoe lace detail. The hat begins with a stretchy k1, p1 ribbed brim. A horseshoe lace section is worked just above the brim, followed by simple stockinette for the remainder of the hat. The combination gives the beanie plenty of visual interest while keeping much of the knitting straightforward. The pattern includes six sizes from newborn through large adult, making it easy to use the same design for babies, children, teens, and adults. The sample is knit with Knit Picks Wool of the Andes, a smooth worsted-weight yarn that shows the ribbing and lace clearly.
