Buena Pinta Scarf

The Buena Pinta Scarf is a fun, accessible introduction to Tunisian crochet lace. Featuring a meditative stitch repetition and clean, polished edgings, this pattern includes four versatile sizes—ranging from a delicate skinny scarf to a cozy afghan. Compatible with any yarn weight, it includes both written instructions and charts for an effortless stitching experience. This pattern comes in four adaptable sizes that will be determined by gauge (i.e. yarn and hook combination choices) and repeats worked. **YARN + HOOKS** This pattern has been written to use any yarn weight available combined with the hook of your choice. There is no specific gauge to work with, instead you should strive to create a fabric that is both cosy and light. Following are the suggested yarn/hook combinations for this pattern, however feel free to modify the yarn weight or hook to create the desired fabric. Fingering weight yarn - 4 or 4.5 mm hook Sport weight yarn - 5 or 5.5 mm hook DK weight yarn - 6 or 6.5 mm hook Worsted weight yarn - 7 or 8 mm hook **Notions** tapestry needle • scissors • tape measure • kitchen scales **Yarn used in the sample:** The red scarf sample was made with Pascuali, Pinta (60% Virgin Wool (Merino extrafine, RWS certified), 20% Silk (Mulberry Silk), 20% Ramie, fingering weight, 50 g, 212 m / 232 yds) in color Coral 114 and a 4.5 mm Tunisian Crochet hook. 1 skein was used. The green scarf was made with Katia, Tencel Cotton (67% Lyocell, 33% Cotton, DK weight, 50 g, 120 m) in color Pale Green 31 and a 5.5 mm Tunisian Crochet hook. 1 ball was used. **GAUGE** There is no gauge specific to this project since it was designed to be made with any yarn weight. *Swatch Instructions* The pattern is designed to start from a narrow corner and increase until desired width. Then the body increases until desired length. There is no swatch necessary, but the initial increase section can serve as a swatch to give you an idea of the final length/width.
