This sweater by Meiju Kallio is inspired by traditional Finnish and Nordic folk costume shirts, reinterpreted as a modern tribute to Nordic craft traditions. Puffed sleeves, a V-neckline and a softly rounded silhouette define the design, while the use of silk mohair yarn gives the garment a light and airy feel. MATERIALS  **Yarn:** 12 (12, 12, 12, 16) (16, 20, 20, 24) balls of Brushed Lace by Mohair by Canard (72% kid mohair, 28% mulberry silk, 229 yds / 210 m – 25 g), in the colourway 3041 Coffee. Four strands of lace-weight silk mohair are held together throughout the project. The yarn requirement given in balls is always divisible by four. Or approx. 2086 (2331, 2625, 2748, 3249) (3619, 3944, 4370, 4741) yds / 1913 (2137, 2407, 2520, 2980) (3319, 3616, 4007, 4347) m of lace-weight yarn; work with 4 strands together. Alternative yarn suggestions are for example Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive or Silk Mohair by Tukuwool. **Needles:** US 9 / 5.5 mm 32–40" / 80–100 cm circular needles for main body and sleeves, US 7 / 4.5 mm 32–40" / 80–100 cm circular needles for neck, bottom ribbing and cuffs. **Notions:** 4 stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn. GAUGE  12.5 sts and 20 rows to 4" / 10 cm on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles in St St, after blocking. NOTES The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. The shoulders, sleeves and V-neckline are shaped with increases while working flat. The body is then joined and worked in Stockinette Stitch in the round to a 1 x 1 ribbed hem, which can be finished with an Italian Bind-Off for a neat edge. Once the body is complete, the sleeve stitches are returned to the needles, and additional stitches are picked up at the underarms. The short sleeves are then worked in Stockinette Stitch and finished with ribbed cuffs.
