**I designed this sweater to celebrate the beautiful Itera, a yarn of incredible softness made from 100% recycled cashmere.**
========================================
In Latin and Romance languages, “Itera” most often means “to repeat” or “to renew”— a perfect name to represent the cashmere fiber that is renewed and recycled into yarn, just like the lace pattern that repeats across the front of the sweater.
----------------------------------------
-
**YARN :**
BISCOTTE YARNS - ITERA [100% recycled cashmere, 175 meters per 50 g] - 5 (5, 6, 7, 8) (9, 10, 12, 12) BALLS; or 753 (875, 1012, 1,155, 1,306) (1,526, 1,708, 1,932, 2,079) meters - shown in color BIS001 for the purple version and BIS026 for the blue one.
**NEEDLES AND ACCESSORIES :**
• Main Knitting: Circular needles of 4 mm (US 6) - cable length of at least 100 cm (40”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or the size required to obtain the gauge.
• Ribbing: Circular needles of 3.5 mm (US 4) - cable length of at least 80 cm (32”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or the size required to obtain the gauge.
• Stitch holder or contrasting scrap yarn to hold sleeve stitches in waiting.
• Stitch markers 8 (one marker that stands out from the others to mark the beginning of the rounds (BOR)).
• Tapestry needle
**SIZES - 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)**
Finished Bust Circumference: 70 (81.5, 89, 100.5, 108.5) (120, 127.5, 139, 149) cm; 27.5 (32, 35, 39.5, 42.75) (47.25, 50.25, 54.75, 58.75) in with a suggested ease of +/- 10%. Choose a size that is 10% larger than your actual bust measurement. Refer to the size chart at the end of the pattern for more details.
**GAUGE**
21 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm (4") in stockinette stitch in the round with the largest needles, before blocking.
**NOTE**
This sweater is knitted top-down and begins with back-and-forth rows to shape the neckline. Once you reach the desired neckline depth, knit the rest in the round.
Read the instructions carefully through the end of each section, as you will need to increase simultaneously on the front neckline, body, and sleeves. Stitches are picked up at the end to knit the collar.
Each section (the back, the front, and the sleeves) is marked by two stitch markers, numbered 1 through 8.
You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves as needed, keeping in mind that you’ll also need to adjust the amount of yarn required to complete the sweater.
ENJOY! ♥
