Haft

**Haft is a charming and stylish scarf that is shaped like a long, shallow triangle. The scarf is worked in a lace pattern, inspired by the floral and plant embroidery found in the folk costumes of the Żywiec region.** **Sizes:** One Size **Length:** 180 cm/72” **Width:** 27 cm/10.75” **Yarn:** 1 skein of Aubrey 4ply by Martin’s Lab (55% BFL wool, 45% silk, 400 m/437 yds in 100 g) **Color:** Pearl **Needles:** US 3/3.25 mm or size needed to obtain gauge, circular needles 60 cm/24”. **Notions:** Stitch markers, row counter, a tapestry needle, scissors. **Gauge:** 28 sts and 30 rows = 10 cm/4” in a lace stitch pattern flat on US 3/3.25 mm needles after blocking. A swatch is not required for this project, but differences in tension will affect the final size and yarn consumption. Note: measure the stitch and row count after blocking. **Construction:** The Haft Scarf is worked in a lace stitch pattern flat, from tip to tip. It is knitted in sections, working each pattern piece in turn. The shape of the long, flat triangle is achieved by increasing and decreasing stitches. Stitches are increased along the first half of the right edge, and then decreased along the second half of the right edge.
