Elderflower Blouse

The Elderflower Blouse is a jumper featuring a pointelle-inspired lace motif with twisted rib vertical panels. The delicate motif reminded me of elderflower blossoms, and as elderflower cordial is one of my favourite summer drinks, the name felt like a natural choice. The blouse is worked from the top down. The back is worked flat first. Stitches are then picked up from the cast-on edge to form the shoulders. The front is joined and worked flat to the underarm before the front and back are joined to work the body in the round. The hem is finished with an i-cord. The neckline is also finished with an i-cord. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round straight before finishing with an i-cord. **Sizes** Sizes: A (B) C (D) E (F) G (H) I To Fit Bust: 76 (86) 96 (106) 116 (126) 136 (146) (156) cm Finished Bust Circumference: 100 (111) 122 (126) 132 (143) 153 (164) 174 cm **Recommended Ease** This pattern is intended to have between 15 and 25cm of positive ease. Due to the nature of this pattern, with a continued repeat throughout, the differences between sizes vary slightly. This is to maintain the pattern throughout the garment. If you are choosing between 2 sizes, I recommend sizing down. **Yarn** Drops Belle (50g / 120m): 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (10) 11 (12) 13 balls **Needles** 4 mm circular needle for main, 3.5mm for neckline finishing **Gauge** 19 sts × 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm in pointelle pattern stitch, measured after light blocking **Construction** Top-down construction Back worked flat before joining in the round Seamless body Pointelle-inspired lace motif Twisted rib panels I-cord bind offs **Skills used** Knitting flat and in the round, picking up stitches, backwards loop cast-on, yarn overs, SSK, K2tog, M1L, M1R, twisted rib (K1tbl/P1tbl), and i-cord bind-off. **Size Inclusivity:** This pattern has been graded and test knit in the sizes currently included.
