Gig Tee

The Gig Tee is an oversized short sleeve t-shirt with folded hem and shoulder slope details to mimic that of my favourite band shirts. Knit from the top down, with simultaneous set-in sleeves that allow the sleeve caps to be worked at the same time as the body. With bust shaping and a split hem as options, I hope everyone can knit themselves a tee that they love. Sizes: This pattern comes in sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9). Finished Bust Circumference: 84 (93.5, 105.5, 114.5, 125) (134.5, 145, 154.5, 165.5) cm, or 33 (36.75, 41.5, 45, 49) (53, 57, 60.75, 65.25) inches. This pattern is intended to have approximately 10cm of positive ease. Note: Unfortunately I couldn't get testers for Size 9, so if you wish to knit this size and wouldn't mind exchanging feedback for the pattern for free, please send me an email at lizziewbknits@gmail.com. Yarn: Drops Cotton Merino. 50g/110m. 50% wool 50% cotton. Approximately 619 (694, 780, 867, 948) (1058, 1139, 1253, 1337) metres, or 677 (759, 853, 948, 1037) (1157, 1246, 1370, 1462) yards. For a lighter, more summery version, myself and several test knitters have used Drops Belle, which has the same gauge but yardage differs slightly. Needles: 4mm (US 6) needles, or needles that best fit gauge. 3.5mm (US 4) needles, or needles 0.5mm smaller than larger set. Gauge: 21 stitches by 28 rows, over 10x10cm of stockinette in your larger needles. Notions: Stitch markers, tape measure, darning needle, scrap yarn or spare cables. The green sample shown is knit in Drops Cotton Merino, in Size 3 with bust shaping, with 13.5cm of positive ease. The black sample shown is knit in Drops Belle, in Size 3, with 13.5cm of positive ease.
