The Bitterroot Pullover is an all-over colorwork raglan sweater, knit from the top down. And, yes. All of the colorwork is knit in the round! You will start by casting on sts for the neckline, working the first rows flat as you shape the neckline. You will then join in the round and start your colorwork charts! Each size has its own charts and shaping to ensure that every body has a fantastic fit! You will finish your raglan shaping, put sleeve stitches on hold, and knit the body in the round, finishing with a 2x2 rib. You will then pick up the sleeve stitches, follow your size’s sleeve chart, and finish the sleeve with a cute puff and some more 2x2 ribbing. Pick up the collar, knit the 2x2 rib, and you’re done! Now, throw on that sweater and show the world what an absolute baddie you are! *The fabulous Bitterroot flower is the state flower of Montana. That’s enough said by itself, but I’m going to go on because this native plant deserves all the hype. It’s found all over western United States and Canada from as low as 2,500 ft elevation, all the way up to 10,000 ft. This girl can travel.* *She often grows in gravelly soils, though she can be found in the woods as well, so when her purply-pink flower blooms in the spring? Brown turns to purple everywhere, and we just love her for that.* *Bitterroot is culturally significant for many Native tribes out west, with the root especially being the star.
