However, if you’re already comfortable with crochet but have never tried colorwork crochet, don’t be afraid to give it a try! I learned tapestry crochet myself quite recently and found that I picked it up pretty quickly. If you’re willing to learn something new, you might surprise yourself too. The pattern explains the color-changing and yarn-carrying techniques used in this design, but it is not a complete beginner’s tapestry crochet course! FINISHED SIZE 75 stitches x 99 rows Appx 9.5 × 12.5 in (24 × 32 cm) when worked in Fine/Sport weight yarn with a 2.2 mm hook. Appx 15 × 20 in (38 × 51 cm) when worked in Worsted Acrylic yarn with a 5 mm hook (Based on testers’ experience) Your finished size will vary depending on your yarn weight, hook size, and tension. MATERIALS NEEDED ◾ Fine/Sport weight yarn (or at your choice) (light grey, dark grey, white, black and yellow - 1 skein each) ◾ 2.2 mm crochet hook (or at your choice) ◾ Yarn needle ◾ Scissors ◾ Blocking supplies ◾ Wooden dowel/rod or a twig — get creative!
