Colorful Car C2C Blanket

Create a colorful, customizable car blanket one C2C square at a time! This modular crochet pattern combines a car motif built on a 21 × 21 C2C grid with coordinating solid-color squares and 12 curated blanket layouts. The Companion and videos are optional additional resources. SIZES Each square measures approximately 14 × 14 in (35.5 × 35.5 cm) before joining when made with the recommended yarn and hook. The photographed 3 × 4 blanket measures approximately 42 × 58 in (107 × 147 cm). The 12 included layouts range from 3 × 3 to 5 × 6 squares, with approximate finished dimensions from 42 × 42 in to 70 × 84 in (107 × 107 cm to 178 × 213 cm). MATERIALS - Medium (#4) worsted-weight yarn - 5.5 mm (I-9) crochet hook - Tapestry needle The photographed blanket was made with Premier Basix Worsted acrylic yarn. Yarn requirements vary by layout and color placement. The PDF includes a complete shopping list plus per-square estimates for planning another included layout or a custom arrangement. CONSTRUCTION Individual squares can be crocheted in any order and joined directly with a crochet hook. The recommended method does not require a separate border around each square or sewing the blanket together.
