It is a reminder not to take life too seriously or let feelings of helplessness paralyze us. We will channel our whimsy and rage to live life on our own terms. For those of us in the US, I hope we channel our whimsy and political rage into our midterm voting. **Construction Notes** This sock starts with a ribbing pattern for the cuff, followed by a colorwork section for the leg. The eyes and beaks can be added using duplicate stitch after knitting. If you are comfortable working with multiple strands, you may instead carry all three or four yarns and incorporate these details directly into the colorwork, avoiding the need for duplicate stitching.
