The Ursula Sweater

**The Ursula** is a modern top-down, seamless sweater designed with approximately 3” of positive ease. A classic silhouette is given a playful edge with bold pops of color and distinctive slipped-stitch details at the neckline and hem, as well as down the inside of each sleeve and through the cuffs. The drop-shoulder construction creates a relaxed shape while German short rows provide comfortable shaping through the upper back. The design is worked primarily in stockinette stitch, making it an approachable knit with just enough interesting detail to keep things fun. **SIZES** XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) Finished bust circumference: 31 (35, 39, 43, 47, 51, 55, 59, 63)” Designed to be worn with approximately 3” / 7.5 cm positive ease. **TESTING NOTE:** Size 4X was tested by one test knitter. Size 5X has not yet been test knitted. If you are interested in knitting the 5X and providing feedback, please contact me — I’d be happy to arrange a special test-knit opportunity **YARN** Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted, or an Aran-weight yarn that achieves gauge. Three colors are used: one main color and two accent colors. This is a great pattern for playing with unexpected color combinations—the accents can be bold and high-impact or more subtle. **GAUGE** 18 sts × 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch **NEEDLES** US 8 / 5 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge. **SKILLS/TECHNIQUES** Top-down construction, knitting in the round, German short rows, slipped stitches, picking up stitches, and changing colors.
