Camille Collar

The Camille Crochet Collar is inspired by vintage heirlooms and slow afternoons. This romantic crochet collar is meant to be tied in a bow and worn like poetry. Layer it over knits, dresses, or bare skin and let the eyelets and ruffles do the talking. It is important to use the correct hook size and yarn weight for your collar to turn out as pictured. Depending on the yarn, this project can be a “one skein wonder” and easily completed in an afternoon. Steam blocking is highly recommended to achieve proper drape. Collar is worked beginning with a starting chain and then adding subtle increases to create the semi circle shape. Collar is sized for an adult. Chains at beginning of rows count as a stitch. Gauge is not important, however using a different hook size and yarn weight will result in a collar that is larger or smaller. Finished dimensions when flat: inner neck diameter is approx. 6 inches; outer diameter from edge to edge is approx. 17 inches. All Maison Segreto crochet patterns are written in US terms.
