This bandana cowl uses contrasting colors to build a small geometric motif with a tweedy look, finished off with a classic pointed hem. It is knit with simple slipped stitches (no tricky colorwork techniques required), making it a great first two-color project. It’s Cozy enough to layer under a coat, but striking enough to wear on its own.
Yarn: Heavy worsted weight yarn; 95 yards of Color A and 75 yds of Color B
Sample shown in 1 skein each of [Berroco Remix Wool][1] (38% wool, 28% polyamide, 22% cotton, 7% acrylic, 5% other; 216 yds/100g) in colors Plum (A) and Smoke (B)
Needles: 16" circular needles size US 9 (5.5mm)
Gauge: 16 sts x 36 rows = 4" in pattern stitch after blocking
Size: 22" circumference around neck opening; 11.5” deep at center
