The design draws inspiration from national textiles crafted on Muhu Island and creatively "translates" them into mosaic knitting. The other blanket patterns in the series released to date are the [Urvaste](/patterns/library/urvaste), the [Peetri](/patterns/library/peetri), the [Tartu](/patterns/library/tartu), the [Hanila](/patterns/library/hanila), the [ViruNigula](/patterns/library/virunigula), the [Karja](/patterns/library/karja) and the [Kihnu](/patterns/library/kihnu-2) The blanket is worked as a single piece in mosaic stocking stitch, in rounds starting from the centre and expanding outward. Two size options are given. The gauge is not important for this project. The pattern is charted and written out. The beauty of mosaic knitting is that it only uses one of the yarns at a time, while the other waits at the beginning of the round.
