The Vitis Mittens are a companion design to the [Vitis Scarf][1], echoing its elegant geometry and organic flow. Intertwining cables wind across the fabric like grapevines, creating a timeless, unisex accessory. Falklander (100% superwash Falklands Merino wool), fingering, 100g (31/2oz), 365m (400yds), in Coral - The pattern is best suited to solid or tonal colorways **Needles** - 2.25mm (US 1) circular needles for magic loop method, a set of DPNs or other needles for knitting small circumferences **Gauge** -42 sts and 38 rows measures 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over 2x2 rib unstretched, after blocking - Swatch to determine the needle size that achieves the correct gauge **Construction** - The mittens are knit from the bottom up seamlessly in the round. They can be worked one by one or at the same time using the two-at-a-time magic loop method. - The palms, thumb, and top and bottom cuffs are worked in 2x2 rib. - Increases shape ergonomic thumbs, then thumb stitches are placed on hold and finished after the mittens are completed. - The right and left mittens have different directions for the palm and thumb shaping.
