Pixel Poncho

The pixel poncho is worked up in an open mesh stitch to create an airy layering piece. It is designed to be oversized to achieve flowy “sleeve” sections that hang down. It is an extremely versatile piece that can be worn in a number of different styles. This pattern is completely seamless and made-to-measure. It’s started with a bottom-up construction and worked until the midway point where a neck hole is added, then the second panel/half is worked top-down to match the first half. This means the construction is continuous without separate front and back panels. This is often called the “up and over” method. It is not necessary to meet gauge for this pattern; it is merely here as a reference. As long as you’re happy with the look, feel, and drape of your fabric, your gauge does not matter. However, I do not recommend using anything above a worsted weight yarn or 5mm hook. This pattern is written in US terminology.
