For the first month, 75% of all sales will be donated to the [National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance][1]. People should not face discrimination due to their body type in any sector of life. **NOTE:** In an effort to help create equitable access to patterns, this pattern is available for 33% (PIPPA33) or 66% (PIPPA66) off for those that need it. This includes plus-sized folks who are regularly investing greater amounts of money into this hobby. This is an honors system; if you can, please consider paying the full price as it supports my ability to create more size-inclusive designs. The Pippa Top is a highly customizable knit named after a very cool woman: Phyllis Latour. The top is worked in the round from the bottom up and instructions are available for two different yarn weights: fingering or sport. You will cast on your hip size, work optional waist shaping allowing you to increase or decrease your size before your ribs, work optional bust shaping, and then cast off the underarms before working the straps in the round. This pattern is designed to be highly inclusive and has instructions for modifications throughout the pattern. It has been tested in all sizes and fits a full bust measurement of 28–72" / 71–183 cm. **Sizing** 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6,) 7, 8, 9 *Finished Garment Chest Circumference (without bust shaping):* * 26, 30, 34, (38, 42, 46,) 50, 54, 58" * 66, 76, 86, (97, 107, 117,) 127, 137, 147 cm *Bust Shaping:* There are 4 different sizes of bust shaping, accommodating from 4–14" / 10–35 cm of difference from your underbust to bust measurements. *Recommended Ease:* The Pippa Top is designed to be knit with 0–6" / 0–15 cm of negative ease throughout. Negative ease is imperative at the bust shaping, but can be adjusted to your preference throughout the rest of the pattern. Some people prefer looser hips or chests in their tops, and this pattern accommodates for that. *Yarn Requirements:* This pattern can be knit in fingering or sport weight yarns at different gauges. The gauge for the fingering weight version is 30 stitches x 40 rows per 4" / 10cm square in stockinette. The gauge for the sport weight version is 24 stitches x 36 rows per 4" / 10cm square in stockinette. For the sake of clarity, yardage requirements and sizing information can be found at [this link][2]. **Needles and Notions** * US 2 (2.75 mm) needle tips * US 4 (3.5 mm) needle tips (sport weight only) * US 0 (2.00 mm) needle tips (fingering weight only) * Cables: length will depend on the size you’re knitting. I would recommend a 14-16” cable with 4-5” needle tips for the first 3 sizes, a 22-24” cable with 4-5” needle tips for the middle 3 sizes, and a 30-36” cable with 4-5” needle tips for the last 3 sizes. All sizes can be knit with one cable length from cast-on to bind-off. * 8 stitch markers, one of which is distinct for beginning of round marker. * Cable needle (optional) * Tapestry needle * Crochet hook (2.75 mm for sport weight and 2.00 mm for fingering weight) A huge thank you to my testers!
