Migration Mittens

**DETAILS:** The Migration Mittens is my first fingerless mitten design. Inspired by my previous design - the [Spring Migration Scarf][1] - Migration Mittens is a beautiful complementary companion piece or as a stand-alone accessory garment. **CONSTRUCTION NOTES:** Migration Mittens are knitted flat, and features a ribbed cuff that leads into a simple stockinette stitch. The featured cable stitch is utilized to give these mittens a simple, seasonal delicate appeal. The mittens hug the base of your thumbs and are completed with a short ribbed design at the base of your fingers. A mattress stitch is then utilized to join the side seams together. **SIZES:** Small-Medium; Medium-Large **NEEDLES:** 4.0 mm (US 6) and 4.5mm (US 7), or sizes needed to obtain gauge **NOTIONS:** Cable Hook (cable needle) Tapestry Needle Measuring Tape Blocking Equipment **FINISHED BLOCKED MEASUREMENTS:** 6.5 x 3.5 (7 x 4) inches, OR 17cm x 9.5cm (18cm x 10cm) **YARN REQUIREMENTS:** Worsted weight yarn: 136 yards / 124m / skein; 1 skein utilized. *Just approximations.
