**Description** The mittens are knitted in the round using two strands of wool yarn on 5.0 mm double-pointed needles. The cuff is knitted first, then the work is turned inside out to continue knitting the mitten in stockinette stitch. The thumb is shaped by increases , and stitches are held to knit the thumb later.
