Beginner’s Patchwork Baby Blanket

An easy to knit patchwork blanket, constructed by knitting 4 or 5 strips of garter stitch patches which are then sewn together to form the finished blanket. All patches are created using knit stitches only. This pattern is ideal for a beginner knitter (if you can knit a garter stitch scarf, you can knit this blanket!) The pattern includes instructions for 2 layout options, both in 2 different sizes. Required knitting skills: Cast on, bind off, ability to work knit stitches. Knit in the colours suggested or choose your own colour combination to make a truly personal blanket. THE PATTERN IS AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH ONLY. Knitted with two strands of DK / light worsted or 8 ply yarn on 6 mm (US 10 – UK 4) knitting needles. Approximate finished blanket measurements: Size 1. - 55 cm x 72 cm (21.5" x 28"). Size 2. - 70 cm x 72 cm (27.5" x 28"). Perfect as an all year round blanket; ideal gift for a new born baby, Christening or a baby shower. Ideal for a crib, stroller, buggy, pram and bassinet.
