**Introduction offer. Through the 18th of August, you may purchase this pattern at 3.95 Euros. Later the price will be 5.95 Euros.** Please note that VAT comes on top for EU-countries, as well as Australia. Many thanks. **This pattern has been tested and proof-read. List of testers at the bottom om these notes.** **Due Due - one for me, one for you.** I wanted a longer version for myself, and a shorter model to show how well this pattern works for any length (and personal taste). **Design and construction** Gorgeous lace at the lower body and a small lace-insertion at the bust to give that extra interest. The fit is a bit wider at the bust than around the waist, which adds comfort. The armhole openings are deep, to ensure that the straps sit well on the shoulders. This is pretty much what I want from a summer-top; lace, interest, comfort and a great fit. The top is worked bottom up and seamlessly. The lace is perfect for an adventurous beginner-project and interesting enough for the more experienced ones. **Sizes** **Finished chest circumference:** 76/86/96/106/116/126/136/146 cm = 30/34/38/42/45.5/49.5/53.5/57.5” The circumference of the lower body measures 6 cm/2.5" less, for all sizes. The short sample is worked in size 1, the long sample is worked in size 2. I recommend 0 - 2" of positive ease (around the chest). **Materials** **Yarn:** I used ”Line” from Sandnes garn (colour-way 3042 for the longer top, 3511 for the short top). This worsted weight yarn comes in balls of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 110 m/120 yards. I recommend any worsted weight/DK weight yarn with great stitch-definition that knits up to gauge. Of the specific yarn above you will need approximately 4/4/5/5/5/6/7/8 balls to work the long version. If adding, or subtracting length you will need more/less yarn. **Needles** Size 4 mm/US for the main body. Size 3.5 mm/US4 for the hem, the armhole and neck-edges. **Notions** 4 removable stitch-markers. Separate holders (or waste-yarn). Tapestry needle. Blocking tools. **Gauge** 20 sts in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”. To obtain gauge, I used needles size 4 mm/US6. **The pattern** - the pattern is tested and proof-read - the lace is charted, as well as written out round-by-round (for the lower body, as for the insertion at the bust). - there is a schematic - all measurements are given in cm's, as well as in inches - the instruction includes both the long and the short versions **Techniques and skills** - I believe that an adventurous beginner may succesfully work the pattern (skill level 2 (of 5) - cast-on, bind off - working lace, following a chart and/or written instructions (abbreviations used are yo, k2tog, p, ssk and CDD) - increases (by m1l and m1r) - working up the shoulders, either by grafting, the 3-needle bind-off, or by seaming) - picking up and knitting sts (for the armhole edges and neckline). **Testers** A huge thank you to my wonderful and talented testers: Avinaya / Cousole / donnamcwilliams71 / echu73 / ejmsasha / grankaG / knitwitch47 / MissDayo / Paloline and SKYSNOTHELIMIT.
