Lacy Cable Comfort Scarf

The **Lacy Cable Comfort Scarf** grew from a simple idea: to create soft comfort with plenty of room for both yarn choice and freedom to adapt the scarf to your own interpretation. Instead of making a traditional gauge swatch, the first section of the scarf is used for reference. From there, **the pattern provides a framework** built around a series of **natural checkpoints**, allowing you dive into your stash and adapt to your personal gauge. This pattern also invites you to **join me on my journey to learn more about fibers**, exploring how different fibers and yarn combinations influence the look, feel, and behavior of the finished fabric. Small differences in yarn, gauge and fiber will naturally result in scarves with their own unique expression. The scarf is **worked symmetrically around the center back neck** with the **option of back neck shaping**. Starting at one tip, you increase toward the widest center-back section before decreasing symmetrically toward the opposite tip. The result is **a light, airy scarf with a soft halo and elegant drape**, **worked in double knitting** creating a hollow core that adds extra thermal insulation – squishy, soft, light and warm. As you knit, you can pause, assess your work, and **make small adjustments based on your choices and preferences**.
