The Starboard Cardigan is a round neck drop shoulder cardigan knit all over in double moss stitch. It features tapered sleeves for a more flattering fit, a double knit button band and twisted ribbing hems. There are 6-8in (15-20cm) positive ease, meaning it is meant to be larger than your bust circumference and this ease is included in the pattern. It starts by casting on the back, then stitches are put on hold while you knit the right and left fronts before joining the body pieces to knit the body flat. Then the button bands are worked in double knitting with functional button holes, then the collar is picked up and knit in twisted ribbing and folded down. Last the sleeves are picked up from the body and are knit in double moss stitches with decreases to create a taper to the sleeves which are then finished with long twisted ribbing cuffs for maximum coziness. Finally buttons are sewn on to the front Botton bands.
