Bea’s Sunflower Scrunchie

**Details**: The sunflower scrunchie is a fabulous stash buster - made up of three rounds total, it’s a super quick hair accessory to add some extra whimsy to your look! This pattern includes information & stitch counts for making a mini size (5 petals) all the way to a large size (9 petals) sunflower scrunchie depending on your preference and hairband/elastic size. **Skill**: This is an advanced beginner pattern which includes photos, tips and written instructions throughout. **Construction**: The first round anchors your stitches to the hairband. Round two becomes the foundation for the sunflower petals and the final, third round adds in the petals. **Hairband**: Hairband size is key so I'd recommend you choose a circular one (like the one pictured in the pattern) which already sits tightly enough around your hair that you do not need to twist or wrap it, this is to avoid the scrunchie fit being too loose whilst ensuring that the sunflower petals can be seen clearly. Alternatively, you could create your own hairband using elastic and securely sewing the ends together. **Yarn**: Drops Paris (or an alternative sturdy aran/worsted/10 ply weight cotton yarn, a less sturdy yarn will result in floppier petals). **Meterage**: Approximately 3 metres for your base colour and 18 metres for petal colour. If using one colour for both, 21 metres is recommended. This equates to approximately 14g.
