Highland Cow

The Forever Hug Highland Cow is a softly shaped amigurumi companion with a rounded body, gently curved horns, floppy ears, and a shaggy yarn fringe that gives him plenty of warm, handmade character. The design uses standard amigurumi stitches, basic colour changes, and separate crocheted pieces that are sewn together. Some sections begin by working into a foundation chain, and the finished cow includes attached yarn fringe that is trimmed and arranged around the face. CONSTRUCTION The Highland Cow is crocheted in separate pieces and sewn together. The head, body, arms, legs, muzzle, ears, horns, and other details are made individually. Most pieces are worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. Some pieces begin by working into a foundation chain. The eyes and nostrils are crocheted using thread and smaller hooks. The yarn fringe is attached during finishing and trimmed to create the Highland Cow’s shaggy appearance.
