The idea for this sweater was inspired by Veta Romanenkova’s love for geometry and clean lines in knitting. She was curious whether it was possible to free the cables from their classic symmetry and give them a different, independent rhythm. The cosy, oversized sweater is scattered in waves of trendy asymmetrical cables. Graphic lines flow down without crossing, captivating with their rhythm. The dropped shoulder, turtleneck collar and deep ribbing gather the silhouette into a cosy cocoon with a fashionable slouch. The body is worked in the round to the underarms in the Cable Patt, then the upper back and front are separated to work flat to the shoulders. German Short Rows are worked to shape the shoulders. The left and right fronts are worked simultaneously, with separate balls of yarn. The shoulders are joined with a 3-Needle BO. Then, stitches are picked up around the armhole and German Short Rows are worked to shape the sleeve cap. Then, the sleeves are shaped in the round in the Cable Patt down to the 2 x 2 Rib cuff. Stitches for the turtleneck are picked up around the neckline and worked in the round in 2 x 2 Rib.
